Presto – Los Cabos Magazine #36

Good things do come in small packages. So is the case with this bite-size Italian eatery in downtown Cabo San Lucas. The alfresco setting overlooks the Cabo San Lucas Marina, an ideal spot for people and yacht watching. The restaurant’s capable kitchen churns out all of the Italian dishes you would expect, and each dish is wonderfully executed. But there are also several surprises inspired by México. In this country—or at least around these parts—there is a bit of a fascination with cream cheese, and we the diners get to reap the benefits. The kitchen wizards at Presto have incorporated cream cheese, or “la filadelfia,” into several otherwise-standard dishes, elevating the flavor and creaminess to a whole new level. Try the three-cheese pizza—made with blue cheese, mozzarella, and cream cheese. Pastas are made mostly in-house, save the spaghetti, which is imported from Italy. Not only is the menu packed with must-try options; it’s also one of the most affordable, wow-worthy menus in all of Cabo.
