Treat your skin to some TLC at these Los Cabos spas
By Sandra A. Berry
Did you spend a bit longer than intended tanning on the beach? Perhaps you feel dehydrated or need a little plumping after endless weeks of work. To get your feel-good hormones up and running for the summer, take a breather and visit one of the many professional spas in Los Cabos. Most spas offer treatments inspired by nature and incorporate items ranging from milk and honey to the fruits of summer.
Take, for example, the summer services offered by La Purísima Salon & Spa (624-131-5368 or www.ventanasresidences.com). The on-site spa at Ventanas Residences uses only all-natural products. Each treatment starts with a therapeutic foot massage, which is followed by any number of services. Massage options include hot stone, deep tissue or sport, or one specifically for tired legs. For a real treat, add on a scalp massage.
Signature services include a loofa salt glow and deep-cleansing facial, as well as services for men such as a gentleman’s facial. While you’re at it, add an anti-aging eye treatment. This full-service salon is ready with summer seasonal specials not only for men and women but also for the kiddies; there’s a children’s menu that includes a mini manicure and pedicure using grapes and lemon extracts. How fun would it be for the little one to experience a face mask? There’s also a “Me & Mommy Massage” for children 4 to 12 years of age.
La Purísima has created an atmosphere that appeals to all the senses and soothes the weary: soft music, bubbling water, and flickering candles. La Purísima is a full-service spa offering a full range of services, the most popular being deep-tissue massages, body wraps, body scrubs, facial care, waxing, and salon services for hair, manicures and pedicures. All products and equipment are top-notch, including the pedicure spa chairs with built-in massage and footbath. La Purísima also performs special anti-cellulite treatments, as well as reducing and firming treatments, and waxing. Why not take advantage of pampering yourself? The cost is quite reasonable, which makes it possible to spend an entire morning or afternoon indulging.
