Campestre Restaurant Bar – LCM 48 Fall 2017

Campestre Restaurant Bar

You can enjoy all the favorites of locals, including tampiqueña (pictured) at Campestre

If you’re looking for authentic flavors, go where the locals go—especially for lunch. Here at Campestre Restaurant Bar, you’ll find a bustling and colorful dining hall alive with families, executives, and tourists enjoying two-course specials of the day at only $99 pesos. A white board has the specials, which change daily, with a starter of soup such as corn chowder. A beverage of the day served in a pitcher is included; think flavored orange water, lemonade, or horchata. Today’s entrée might be a choice of steak with sauce, pork chuleta (pork chop) in salsa, or a chile relleno with shredded chicken and cheese covered in a rich tomato sauce served with rice and beans. Another day entrées may be rajas con pollo (green chiles with chicken) in a cream sauce or chicken enchiladas. If you’re in luck, you will be there when liver and onions are offered. Of course, you can order from the menu. Popular are fajitas, including fish fajitas, again with servings generous enough for two. Or opt for shrimp any style: breaded, garlic, coconut, etc. Salvatierra, corner of López Mateos and Camino al Faro, Cabo San Lucas, (624) 143-8830, www.restaurantcampestrelocsabos.com. Mon.–Fri. 7:30 a.m.–9 p.m., Sat. 7:30 a.m.–4 p.m., Sun. 7:30 a.m.–2 p.m. MasterCard and Visa accepted. $–$$ S.A.B.
