Campestre Restaurant Bar – LCM 49 Spring 2018

Campestre Restaurant Bar

Campestre Restaurant Bar serves authentic Mexican favorites like tortilla soup.

Don’t be surprised if there is a line to get in. No need to worry; it moves fast. Campestre is where locals go because the food is authentic Mexican fare and the price is right. Whether you go for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you’ll find a noisy spot alive with families, working class, executives, and tourists in a large, vibrant room enjoying the true spirit of México. Every dish is prepared with traditional ingredients to recreate the flavors of old recipes. Try one of the colorful plates of enchiladas with red or green chile sauce, a chile relleno with shredded chicken and cheese covered in a rich tomato sauce, or fajitas of chicken, beef, or fish served with rice and beans. A myriad of seafood is available starting with fish prepared to your liking such as with garlic, Veracruz-style, or Hawaiian. Surf and turf is a popular request. The servings are ample, sometimes enough for two. Save room for chocolate pie and Mexican coffee prepared at the table.
