But since Sancho Panza Wine Bistro Restaurant & Jazz Club kicked off its informal wine tastings, Wednesday nights suddenly became educational. Tucked behind the Tesoro Los Cabos Hotel (formerly Costa Real), this casual yet upscale bistro attracts local and visiting wine lovers to the large bar for, uh, classes. With fabulous live jazz by The Jazz Monsters, Sancho Panza is a smooth alternative to the raucous party spots throughout the rest of downtown. Daily from 4 p.m. until the party ends.
On Thursday, kick back and relax at the new Buddha’s Grill and Bar, located in the center of downtown Cabo San Lucas next to Zoo Bar and Dance. If you don’t have to leave on Sunday (there’s nothing worse than being on an airplane with a hangover), a bit of sun and a “hair of the dog” can always be found at Médano Beach in Cabo San Lucas. One of the best knownand most fun”beach bars” is the Baja Cantina, with two locations, one at Médano Beach and one on the marina. Sundays at the beach location can almost seem medicinal, but any day or night, either place is a great way to begin or end the dayor night. Both serve great food too.
