Il Forno – LCM 53 Fall 2021

”We have been at this location since November 21, 2020, and we have been the only restaurant that has been open during all of the pandemic”, said IL Forno Chef Luigi Cavanna, who hails from Milan, Italy, and has traveled the world creating and serving the best original and most traditional, tasty Italian food for the past 20 years in the Republic of Mexico and the last half decade in Cabo San Lucas, where he arrived in 2015.

”I’m in this business to serve delicious, traditional Italian homemade stylefood and treat our guests to spectacular service” added Chef Luigi, and what a phenomenal business it is, offering the best Italian cuisine this side of the Mediterranean, with outstanding customer service provided by Pietro Gioco from Verona, Italy, who has decades-long professional experience managing Italian restaurants. IL Forno’s authentic taste originates from the imported from Italy key ingredients and their locally grown organic vegetables from their nearby farm in Pescadero.

‘The service at IL Forno was amazing. The food — heavenly. And the interior is so lovely! We got the pasta special with shrimp and tomato, pesto pasta, Caesar salad and calamari. So fresh. Don’t hesitate to go here!” exclaimed an excited Lauren B. of the Upper East Side, in Manhattan, New York. ‘This restaurant was recommended by a family friend who lives in Cabo and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was amazing and the service was even better. Enrique was a true gentleman and took care of us totally.  I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and can’t wait to come back!” echoed David G. from Riverside, California.

”I grew up on Mediterranean Italian food and I now serve my heritage. It’swhat my mom did and what my father did. They loved cooking wonderful food,” added Chef Luigi Cavanna, who has indeed continued a family tradition of serving spectacular traditional Italian cuisine dishes; all affordably priced and all, supremely exquisite and delicious.

”The Burrata salad combined with their house garlic bread was light and packed with flavor. It was fresh beyond words. We each ordered entrees Including a lobster  fettuccine alfredo. We had a couple chicken parmesan with house made pasta with fresh tomato sauce, and there was also a pasta pesto sauce that was so delicious. We had three creme brulee to finish the night,” said Cris S. of Jackson, California, near Sacramento, during his recent November, 2020 Cabo vacation visit. ”There was not a disappointment to be found.”

Open from 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, IL Forno is located at Avenida Paseo del Pescador, Cabo San Lucas, which is a stone’s throw from the Cabo Villas and Casa Dorada resort hotels one block away.
