Baja Peppers – Los Cabos Magazine #35

After its annual hiatus during the month of September, Baja Peppers returned with new menu options added to its roster of popular Italian, Mexican, and American dishes. The restaurant retains all of its traditional favorites, though, including the $4 all-American breakfast, and personal, half-, and one-meter gourmet pizzas.

New selections include owner and Vancouver native John Venditti’s tributes to his homeland, a Canadian omelet with chorizo, bacon, cheese, and peppers, and chicken fried chicken, a Canadian version of the popular American breakfast staple made with mushroom gravy, and accompanied by two eggs, potatoes, fruit, and toast. The Super Burrito headlines the recent lunchtime additions, and it is served with chicken or arrachera smothered in a delicious jalapeño cheese sauce.

For dinner, start with the carpaccio di pulipo, thinly sliced octopus drizzled in vinaigrette, or the Smoked Salmon and Goat Cheese Bruschetta. Entrée choices include steaks as well as pastas and traditional Mexican dishes, highlighted by a superb 12-ounce New York Steak with Portobello Mushrooms in a cognac cream peppercorn sauce.
