Alcaravea Gourmet
Chef Enrique Díaz Gerard authors a menu brimming with Mediterranean fare that diners have come to acknowledge and appreciate as an unforgettable evening dining experience. But just as the evening meal at Alcaravea Gourmet has become a special occasion for many, having lunch here is a very popular daily occurrence—especially for businesspeople in downtown Cabo San Lucas. Three-course, all-inclusive luncheon daily specials are available from noon until 4:30 p.m. with a choice of fish, fowl, beef, or pasta for approximately $15 U.S. A choice of crispy salad or soup (traditional minestrone or creamy vegetable) is offered along with refillable iced tea or lemonade, followed by a choice of entrée. Each day there is a different dish. Examples include seabass topped with pesto; top sirloin with marsala wine sauce and mushrooms; chicken breast with eggplant baked in tomato sauce; and pasta in butter with tomatoes and olives. Each entrée is accompanied with either pasta with cream or tomato sauce or vegetables. A different dessert comes with the meal; it might be a chocolate brownie and a dollop of vanilla ice cream; a square of mango and yogurt mousse topped with a mixed fruit compote with whipped cream; or profiterole, a miniature cream puff filled with whipped cream. None of these desserts is too overwhelming, but rather they are just the right size to satisfy the sweet tooth. Of course, you can opt to order anything off the dinner menu; these tasty creations are available during the lunch hours, too.
