JW Marriott Introduces ‘Best Brunch in Cabo’
Uá Culinary Artisans at the JW Marriott in San José del Cabo has introduced what it’s touting as “the Best Brunch in Cabo,” and the offerings are definitely impressive. Bar items, including a variety of mimosas, are offered, as are desserts. Brunch is served Sundays 10 a.m.–4 p.m. for $50 U.S. per person. More info is available at www.marriott.com/sjdjw.
Silverados Sportfishing Goes Beyond the Expected
What started as a single-boat company in 2000 has grown into one of Los Cabos’ largest fleets focused primarily on what its crew loves best: fishing! The team behind Silverado Sportfishing believes there is nothing quite so thrilling as the experience of chasing and reeling in a catch. Nevertheless Silverado Sportfishing offers more than fishing trips—which are great; it also offers private charters, romantic sunset cruises, whale watching, snorkeling, and other personalized experiences. The downtown Cabo San Lucas spot John’s Place has a lot to recommend it: large-screen TVs (showing every major sporting event), a centralized location, and a kitchen that churns out dishes ranging from Italian pastas to Mexican-style seafood to Southern ribs. But it’s quite likely the popular lineup of daily and weekly specials that most sets this spot apart: Highlights include two-for-one deals on beers and margaritas, a two-for-one on pastas, and the $4 U.S. Real Deal breakfast with three eggs, mixed fruit, potatoes, beans, toast, and bacon. Yes, There Is Great Chinese in Los Cabos
While the Los Cabos food scene is known for its concentration of excellent seafood, Japanese, and Italian restaurants, there has been a noticeable lack of high-end Chinese. That changed with the opening of Chin’s Cabo, which offers gourmet fare and a premier location at the Shoppes at Palmilla in San José del Cabo. Highlights at the Szechuan-style spot include spicy, pineapple-glazed shrimp; sweet-and-sour pork; and curry chicken. For more information, visit www.facebook.com/ChinsCabo.
