Puerta Vieja, which in English means Old Door, first opened its now much appreciated and popular doors for business in December, 2003. The traditional and tasty dishes at Puerta Vieja are what have catapulted this fine dining establishment into a can’t miss Cabo San Lucas place to visit.
The restaurant name was inspired by the iconic 163-year-old Indian hand crafted wooden doors that greet every guest. The delicious food and tremendously professional and friendly service are what have kept the old doors swinging open with more and more extremely satisfied visitors. Each if whom have nothing but high praise of their dining experience and the dishes they have thoroughly enjoyed over the 17 years they have been open.
Their great service and consistently succulent cuisine quality are what have made the place a famous Los Cabos landmark. In 2006, Chef David Peña arrived from Las Vegas, and his kitchen has continued using only the freshest ingredients and organic produce that have maintained the Puerta Vieja reputation for delicious food, that is accompanied with tremendous Sunset views of the Cabo San Lucas Land’s End Arch. Their main room is the perfect place for those romantic dinners and special events, while their spacious terrace is a refreshing and lovely setting for couples and/or family birthday celebrations.
‘’We have been eating at Puerta Vieja for over 10 years and it consistently delivers awesome ambiance, great food and top-notch service. My wife loved her lobster and my ahi tuna was one of the best I have ever eaten! Each entree was also accompanied by a vegetable medley which was beautifully presented and perfectly cooked. A great experience always,’’ said Bill Lafayette from La Grange, Illinois, USA.
‘’I loved my two dinner visits at Puerta Vieja when I was in Cabo San Lucas with my brother who lives there,’’ recalled Martha Escamilla from San Jose, California, “It was very rustic, romantic, and charming, and we enjoyed taking a few sunset photos with the Arch behind us in the background. Those two evenings there, were a totally unforgettable dining experience, that I remember often with a smile..’’
