The restaurant name was inspired by the iconic 163-year-old Indian hand crafted wooden doors that greet every guest. The delicious food and tremendously professional and friendly service are what have kept the old doors swinging open with more and more extremely satisfied visitors. Their great service and consistently succulent cuisine quality are what have made the place a famous Los Cabos landmark. In 2006, Chef David Peña arrived from Las Vegas, and his kitchen has continued using only the freshest ingredients and organic produce that have maintained the Puerta Vieja reputation for delicious food, that is accompanied with tremendous Sunset views of the Cabo San Lucas Land’s End Arch.
