Fisherman’s Landing Bar

With a name like Fisherman’s Landing, you’ve got to have good seafood. And this place does—in spades. Situated right smack on the marina, it gives diners a bird’s-eye view of boats leaving the harbor in search of dinner for the night, or returning with their catch. Its open-air atmosphere, succulent dishes, and outstanding service bring patrons back time and again, welcoming early morning anglers to come for breakfast and a packed lunch starting at 5 a.m. and to return with their catch to be cooked several different ways. Throughout the day, the highest quality fish and shellfish make it to your table. This is a restaurant for the true seafood aficionado. A sampling of the varied menu includes sushi, including a new one to the menu with crispy greens, strawberries, and cucumber that could easily pass for a salad or satisfy a vegetarian. Other starters include curricanes with avocado and tuna. Main course items will blow you away. Choose any combination of lobster with lime butter, perfectly prepared filet mignon, jumbo shrimp on skewers with citrus sauce, yellowtail, or sea bass blackened Rockefeller style. Other items include a cheese tortilla with crab meat, oysters on half shell, shrimp cocktail, and entrées of lots of shrimp dishes fixed the way you like them, seafood chiles rellenos, and pastas. Ask for the special margarita: It comes in a bowl with a straw. A nice ending to a fully satisfying meal are churros with caramel dipping sauce, and maybe a Baileys and espresso coffee. Satisfaction guaranteed. Paseo de la Marina, Cabo San Lucas, (624) 143-7275. Daily 5 a.m.–10:30 p.m. MasterCard and Visa accepted. $$ S.A.B.
