Campestre Restaurant Bar – Los Cabos Magazine #35

If you are looking for some truly Mexican flavors and a family ambience, Campestre Restaurant Bar is the place to go. Since opening in September 2000 with a small palapa and four tables only, the restaurant has grown to become a favorite haunt for locals. The owners, who hail from Guerrero, first expanded in 2006 and again in 2012.

Campestre is known for its home-style Mexican food and big portions. You can choose from the menu or ask about the specials (comida corrida), which are available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The wait for a table during breakfast may be long, but be patient. It’s totally worth it! The breakfast specials include half-orders of chilaquiles—red or green—with steak or chicken and slices of red onion and avocado.

We highly recommend the lobster, the famous tampiqueña, and you might find it difficult to choose between the imperial or coconut shrimp.
