Los Barriles Restaurant Bar – Los Cabos Magazine #35

Craving something different? Head straight to Los Barriles Restaurant Bar. While honing his skills in the food industry over the years, owner Francisco Zuniga happened across some enticing recipes for Asian dishes.

He began offering his unique blend of culinary delights when he opened Los Barriles Restaurant Bar two years ago. Granted, you can still enjoy a fine selection of traditional Mexican dishes, pasta, chicken, seafood, and steaks, but why not awaken your palate with a myriad of different taste sensations such as hot pot Thai seafood soup chock-full of shrimp, scallops, and calamari prepared in coconut milk and a ginger lemongrass broth. The house specialty is a Korean barbecue prepared for two people that features shrimp, scallops, filet mignon, lobster, and chicken served with an assortment of sauces, grilled veggies, and salads for $46 U.S.

Many entrées are prepared at your table; those include the catch of the day, which might be sea bass, tuna, or red snapper. Lobster and shrimp are featured in a variety of ways; you can choose the style of preparation and sauce. Live music is presented by the talented singer and guitarist Héctor Gómez on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings starting at 6:30 p.m. Miguel Hidalgo, Cabo San Lucas, (624) 143-1619. Daily 7 a.m.–11 p.m. All major credit cards and vouchers accepted. $–$$$ S.B.
