El Patio Choyero – LCM 42 Winter 2016

Patio Choyero_julio2014_Andrik_18This Cabo San Lucas Marina eatery was named for those who were either born in the area or who have lived here long enough to be considered practically native. Hector Chong is the sushi chef, and he whips up any number of items such as the popular Sashimi Currican or the spicy Sashimi Serranito. Four pieces of nigiris will set you back only $4 U.S., and you get a mix of tuna, salmon, shrimp, and octopus. The $10 U.S. variety of sushi rolls are enough to share, as is the teppanyaki with mushrooms, peppers, broccoli, squash, and an option of beef, chicken, shrimp, or a mixture of choices. Fried rice makes a nice accompaniment with a choice of chicken, shrimp, beef, or mixed. You know the fish is fresh since the restaurant owner’s Sindicate Sportfishing fleet brings in the catch daily. Cabo San Lucas Marina, Cabo San Lucas (624) 143-3563, www.elpatiochoyero.com. Daily 7 a.m.–11 p.m. MasterCard, Visa, and AmEx accepted. $–$$ S.A.B.
