Every meal at Los Deseos is a celebration of México’s diverse culinary traditions. Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Los Deseos serves everything from pan dulce to mesquite-style marrow and old-fashioned mole. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Here’s our go-to plan: Start with the three-cheese queso fundido. Three cheeses and tequila are flamed in a molcajete and served with fresh tortillas. Follow with a pumpkin flower soup, especially if you’re visiting Los Deseos at night with a cool breeze over the marina. The chile en nogada is a beloved tradition; essentially, it’s a poblano pepper stuffed with minced pork, beef, and dried fruits topped with a nut and pomegranate sauce. For dessert, pair a traditional cinnamon y café de la olla with a coconut flan; it’s a specialty of the house. A.A.
