Los Cabos Winery and Cabo Winery Restaurant – Los Cabos Magazine #35

The Cabo Winery Restaurant is a labor of love for Robert Turnage, a California native and longtime oenophile who first debuted the winery in 2009 and quickly followed up with the Cabo Winery Restaurant.

The charming spot is a bit of a hidden gem—it’s located just outside of downtown Cabo San Lucas—that nevertheless attracts celebrities and other adventurous diners in Los Cabos. Its wine selection is expertly cared for and curated and pairs perfectly with the celebrated menu: TripAdvisor ranked Cabo Winery the No. 1 steak house and No. 3 seafood restaurant for more than a year. Plush Italian leather couches are interspersed with semi-formal dining tables.

Memorabilia of the Duke and exceptional artwork adorn the walls. For a special treat, make reservations to dine in the wine cave, surrounded by barrels of aging wines, offering a secluded, romantic setting for dinner. The audacious Turnage and his restaurant have succeeded despite all odds and the economy, growing rapidly thanks to the space’s warmth, and large following of returning clients every year, and a menu that keeps getting better. New chef Alberto Machain has introduced additions to a menu that already boasted sea bass with chili garlic, succulent pacific lobster tails, and fork-tender filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes.

Pair your meal with a Cabo Winery library selection; each is exceptional.
