La Pampa Argentinian Steak House – Los Cabos Magazine #36

While the maps suggest you’re in Los Cabos, the flavors at La Pampa transport guests to South America. For eight years, La Pampa has offered an all-star lineup of Argentine dishes that include savory empanadas stuffed with a choice of beef, spinach and cheese, or rajas (green chile peppers) with cream and corn. House-made bread is served with a variety of delicious spreads, including chimichurri sauce that goes good with everything, especially meat. Rib eye, sirloin, and house specialty flank steak are outstanding accompanied by potato salad and roasted “blondie” chiles. The $72 U.S. grill for two includes ribs, flank steak, sausage, and a bottle of wine.  All servings are ample, but the 14-ounce steak takes generous to a new level. Some special dishes require two days’ notice: The whole side of beef rib serves three to four people, but it takes several hours to cook. For a light lunch, try a Caprese or hearts of palm salad or a spring sandwich of salami and cheese. Warm dark woods, angled wood mosaic walls, and a wall holding Argentine wine makes this a perfect place for relaxed dining and sport viewing.
