Blue Fish Seafood – LCM 48 Fall 2017

Blue Fish Seafood

the traditional ceviche gets a makeover at Blue Fish Seafood

Most any restaurant in México offers ceviche, that popular appetizer consisting of raw fish marinated in citrus (usually lime) juice. The acid “cooks” the fish, thereby firming the flesh and turning it opaque. Onions, tomatoes, and chiles are added before it’s served. Ceviche at Blue Fish is a whole different experience. Here you have a choice of fish, shrimp, scallops, and octopus mixed with a choice of pineapple, carrot, cucumber, green tomatoes, Clamato, jicama, olive, and a favorite of the chef: mango. Made with seabass, shrimp, or other seafood and served with seasoned tostadas, it is a meal in itself. Tacos, too, are not ordinary. Try spicy octopus sausage. Other special creations include grilled lobster, seared scallops, and octopus. In addition to a full bar, refreshing beverage offerings include special lemonades such as mint, piñada, Arnold Palmer, or special sangria. A large outdoor terrace overlooks luscious greenery with the sea beyond. The Shoppes at Palmilla, km 27.5 on the tourist corridor, San José del Cabo, (624) 172-6652, www.bluefishcabo.com. Daily 11 a.m.–10 p.m. All major credit cards accepted. $–$$ S.A.B.
